Mineral composition
Kaolin
Provides plasticity and whiteness to the body; sourced from deposits in the north-west of the peninsula.
Feldspar
Flux that allows complete vitrification at 1,250 °C.
Quartz
Siliceous skeleton that controls shrinkage and provides hardness.
Mineral oxides
Inorganic pigments (iron, chromium, cobalt) for light-stable tones.

Surface finishes
Each finish is achieved in the fired surface itself, with no added layers that can wear away.

Tone palette
Seven base tones shared between slabs, porcelain and bathroom pieces.
